Artist Bio
Alicia Finger is a Philadelphia based artist, whose work focuses on the process of deconstructing and assembling. Finger received her BFA from Arcadia University with a concentration in oil painting and her MFA from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. She began experimenting with cut paper and installation while receiving her MFA. These experimentations have evolved into newer works that focus on merging the act of cutting paper and collage with her background in painting. Finger is currently an Instructor and Coordinator of Color and Design and Color Theory at Rowan University. She is a member of the Philadelphia Collage Works artist collective. Her works have been included in juried group exhibitions including Summerhouse at Hot-Bed Gallery in Philadelphia and Drawn to Paper at Atlantic Gallery in New York City.
